How does an Automatic Water Pump Controller work?

I think before understanding what an Automatic Water Pump Controller is and how to work it, it is important to know what an automatic controller does.

In short, we can say that Automatic means that the work have to be done by itself. Don’t need any manpower to do that and the Controller here is an object that will be doing this automatic work through this controller. So we are very easily understand that, How an Automatic Controller does works.

Now let’s see what happens if we add the word “Water Pump” to this “Automatic Controller”. Here, if we put the word Water Pump in between the Automatic and Controller, then the word stands for “Automatic Water Pump Controller”. That’s why these types of controllers are called Automated Water Pump Controllers.

Now I will tell you how does an Automatic Water Pump Controller work?

Usually, these types of controllers have two sections. One is the InPut and another one is OutPut. The Input section is connected to the Sensors Module that is sensing your water status and the output section is connected to the pump that you need to run automatically.

Now I am describing the working principles according to the diagram of this controller. As described in Picture No 01 –

1. Is yours Water Pump
2. Is yours Overhead Water Tank
3. Is your Controller

This picture shows that, if you give a water status signal with the help of the (3) Sensor Module in your (B) Overhead Water Tank to this (C) Controller INPUT Section through the (4) Sensor Cable then the controller automatically sends an ON or OFF Signal through the OUTPUT Section to your (A) Water Pump motor.

Thus, when an ON or OFF signal arrives through the (5) Pump Connection from the OUTPUT section of the (C) Controller on the (A) Water Pump Motor, the motor automatically goes ON or OFF as per the signal.

Now I discuss two types of Condition which happen As per the water status in your Overhead Water Tank

Condition No 01 :

When In case of Your water tank goes Empty –

Now if we see that an ON Signal has come to your (A) Water Pump from the controller, Then your pump will be turned ON automatically and sustain till the next signal come. So Automatically water will be delivered to your water tank through the use of (1) Suction Pipe and (2) Water Delivery Pipe.

NOTE: We have to remember that, for this condition Once the ON signal arrives in your pump, the pump will be continuously running until the next OFF signal comes.

Condition No 02 :

When In case of Your water tank goes Full –

After the water tank goes full (3) with the help of the Sensor Module sends an OFF Signal to the (B) Water Pump from the (C) Controller and when an OFF Signal comes from this controller, the (A) Water Pump automatically goes OFF and automatically stops sucking water and stops water delivery to your (C) Water Tank.
